Cool Show Alert: The Ocean Blue and Graveyard Club at The Fine Line | July 26th

Do you remember the late 1980s, and the Sire Records label? In 1989, when The Ocean Blue released their debut self-titled album, the Sire Records label supported modern rock artists such as The Replacements, Morrissey, Erasure, The Mighty Lemondrops, Throwing Muses, and Depeche Mode. The Ocean Blue summarized what many could consider the consummate sound entering into the early 90s before the age of Grunge. Coming to Minneapolis on Friday, July 26th at The Fine Line Music Cafe with their first new album in 6 years, Kings and Queens / Knaves and Thieves, they will bring along their long discography which is certain to harken back to the golden age of Sire Records.

Perfectly paired with The Ocean Blue, Minneapolis’s own Graveyard Club will open the evening with a new album of their own, Goodnight Paradise, their sophomore release. Tickets for the event are $15 in advance, $17 the day of the show. More information is available on the First Avenue website here
