Listen to New EP of Left-Field Electronic Music from Andrew Broder (Buy This Week To Support Social Justice Orgs!)

Local musical chameleon Andrew Broder has returned with a surprise EP of left-field electronic music. The self-released, online-only EP, titled Arena of Dust, is four tracks of skittish music that taps into house, footwerk, Burial-esqe dubstep and more, creating a whirling landscape of jittery dance music. It packs a punch and is a record I can tell will allow for lots of exploration.

You can listen and buy the EP below via Broder’s Bandcamp page, and he has announced via his Twitter account that purchases this week will benefit different social justice groups. Today (Tuesday) the money goes to Reclaim.care, a support center providing financially and culturally accessible mental health care to Queer and Trans youth in the Twin Cities. Monday proceeds went to Honor The Earth, a group who work to support indigenous communities fighting climate injustice and colonial exploitation of native land and people. Keep an eye on his Twitter page to find out where proceeds will go for the rest of the week. You can support great local music and great local orgs making the world a better place in one $6 swoop. Do it!
