Listen to “Heat Wave” by Chicago Noisey Garage Band The Hecks (Minneapolis Show TONIGHT!)
Chicago band The Hecks have been slanging noisy but melodic garage rock over the last few years, and the group are back with a new LP titled My Star. You can listen above to the decidedly chill and sugary “Heat Wave,” which explores their sound even further than their self-titled debut on Trouble in Sound. Kudos to the band for taking a left turn and I’m intrigued to check out their new record to see what other surprises await.
The Hecks will be playing a free show at the Hexagon in Minneapolis tonight (Sunday, 10/13) with Shrimp Olympics, Psychic DNA, Stressica, and Radioshed.
