Listen to Brazilian Artist Sessa’s Modern Take on Tropicalia on New LP Grandeza (Minneapolis Show TONIGHT!)
It is a bit of a cop-out, but Brazilian artist Sessa’s new album Grandeza seems like a love letter to the wonderful Tropicalia genre. Blending pop, psych, folk and traditional music into a stew that is easier enjoyed than described, it is a rewarding record that is as vibrant and eclectic as the album cover would suggest. Listen and purchase the record below via the band’s bandcamp page.
If you like what you hear, you can catch Sessa tonight (Thursday, Oct. 17) at Moon Palace Books in south Minneapolis with Sister Species. Doors at 7 and tickets at the door cost $12.
