Introducing: The Melodic, Fuzzy Pop of Missing Time

There is a warm comfort in the retro, worn-in guitar rock crafted by new local trio Missing Time. The songs on their debut, four-song EP As the Universe Turns have a distinct mid-90s feel to them, with a fuzzy layer floating over smart minimalism. The songs have a thin veneer of punk snarl, but never take their eye off building on a foundation of sharp melodies and snug harmonies. It feels familiar without leaning too hard on any particular sound, resulting in a debut that shows a lot of potential. You can stream/purchase their recently released EP below from the band’s bandcamp page. Not seeing any shows coming up, but we’ll keep an eye out.
