“Shut up Baby” a new song from French psych-pop band Tara King Th. featuring Brisa Roché, is one of those songs that creeps into that sticky spot in your brain and refuses to leave, whether you like it or not. In the days since I first heard this track, I’ve found myself humming (off-tune) the bright chorus from this song on multiple occasions, the first few times where I couldn’t even remember where I had heard the melody. We first caught wind of Tara King Th. a few years back when Moon Glyph put out their tape, and it’s clear from the first song off their forthcoming Mathematique LP that they haven’t lost the ability to create charming, airtight pop songs.
