Video: Greta Ruth’s “Heaven After”
Local experimental folk musician Greta Ruth recently released a brand new single “Heaven After,” a haunting and spare love song set to fingerpicked guitar. The song alone is definitely worth checking out as its gorgeous. So too is the accompanying video, in which Ruth attempted to recreate an old photo that she had of her grandmother, aged 16, holding a guitar in a field in her native Beschka, Yugoslavia (now Serbia).
Ruth’s next show will occur at the Tilsner Artist Lofts (Lowertown) this Friday (1/10) which will also be the album release show for local musician St. Anthony Mann (and what I have heard so far from him is also terrific). Info here.
