Come For Yana’s Twitchy Art Rock on “DOKYBYYANA,” Stay for the Amazing Stop Motion Animated Video Three Years in the Making
Minneapolis band YANA recently released a video for their twitchy, angular art-rock song “DOKYBYYANA.” The song captures the idiosyncratic style of the band, but the video may steal show the in this case, rolling out 4.5 minutes of visuals that can only be described as demented circus. We’ll let the band describe the creative, left-field video in their own words:
A stop motion, animation and green screen composite music video 3 years in the making using multiple sources such as magazine clippings, no copyright youtube videos and computer animation.
Enjoy the video above. And maybe this will be motivation for all of your projects that have been percolating for 3+ years that seemed like they never would get finished!
