The Amazing Les Filled De Illighadad Return with “At Pioneer Works” LP from NYC Shows | Watch Video for “Irriganan”
Les Filled De Illighadad’s 2nd LP, Eghass Malan, which they released in 2017, is an almost untouchable record for me. The record is a multitude of layers, from the driving rhythms to the hypnotic singing to the circular, propulsive guitar playing. It is impossible to nail down, and equally impossible not to love. Seeing the band live at the Cedar a few years back (as an opener!!) was one of those sets that I had built up so much I thought it would leave me feeling let down, but it was the opposite. Their live set was somehow even more magnetic than they were on record. The group captured their live intensity when they visited New York City in 2019 on their forthcoming At Pioneer Works LP.
