Video: Kiss The Tiger’s “I Miss You” / Spring Album Release

If you haven’t heard of local rock and roll quintet Kiss The Tiger yet chances are you probably will probably be hearing them soon. Since forming in 2016 the band has been steadily accumulating accolades in the local scene, particularly after their standout 2019 album Let Me Bleed

KTT will release their follow up Vicious Kid this Spring (June 3rd) and recently released a new single “I Miss You” and accompanying video to whet the appetite. The new latest tune couldn’t be more different from the record’s only other available single “Motel Room,” a ripping punk/blues anthem. By contrast “I Miss You” is a more gentle, slow burner that sets lead vocalist Meghan Kreidler’s melancholy lyricism against a country-skewing rock sound that’s anchored by a temperate organ melody (courtesy of Victor Zupanc).

With such a range between both songs, it remains to be seen which way Vicious Kid will lean or what other surprises it might have in store. Whatever that may be, it should be well worth your time to check out come early June.

You can stream both tunes below as well as to follow the band via their website for more details on their coming album release (and/or buy tickets for the Icehouse release show here).
