Introducing: The Garage Punk of K.C. McKee (Afternoon Show Sunday!)
K.C. McKee makes music that sounds like a shadowy figure in the corner of nightclub, clad in a leather jacket. And they’re probably wearing sunglasses despite it being 1 a.m. Fuzzy, reverb-drenched guitar and scratchy, distant vocals bob and weave over sinister, lo-fi songwriting that eschews any fancy flourishes.
This is rock and roll as barbed wire. The LP Fools is from 2021, but you can sink your teeth into the album below and if you like what you hear, you can see the band Sunday at the very un-rock and roll time of 1pm at the great White Squirrel on West 7th in St. Paul. Stream the music below and find info on the show HERE.
