Catch a Glimpse of Snõõper’s Live Show in “Music For Spies” Video (Show Tuesday!)
Snõõper’s debut album Super Snõõper landed on Third Man records this summer, propelling the band’s fast-paced Devo-esque punk into a bigger audience. “Music For Spies” is a mere 94 seconds long, but it’s both a great musical intro to the band as well the video giving you a rapid-fire view into their high-energy stage show. Stage dives, giant costumes, and a whole lot more flash while the track propels forward as both influenced by Devo’s jerky energy and the late 2010s egg punk basement forebearers like the Coneheads. It’s a winning combination for an exciting new band that immediately leaps ahead of a lot of their peers. I’m pretty sure this is their first local appearance, so catch them before they really blow up.
