Listen to Horse Lords/Ka Baird’s Latest Music Ahead of Tuesday (3/12) Show at Icehouse!
Horse Lords are one of those bands that super fans (like me) always do the annoying “their records don’t capture them live!” thing. In the flesh they groove deeper, expand minds wider and simply capture an inter-planetary spirit that compressed audio files have a hard time comprehending. Well, lucky for all of you, they both have a live record out now (below) AND you can see for yourself Tuesday night at Icehouse.
The experimental, art-rock band with a heart of groove are playing alongside the label mates Ka Baird, both of whom are currently on the impeccable RVNG INTL label for a show that should not be missed.
Opening the night will be Ka Baird, a one person outfit of trippy, slightly less frantic but no less intense electronic music, as seen most recently on Bearings: Soundtracks for the Bardo. As with previous material, it is operatic and experimental, with skitters and glitches crashing into each other a beautiful cacophony of sound. If this is what the Bardo sounds like, it will be a fascinating transition.
See both outstanding artists Tuesday (March 12) at Icehouse so you too can tell everyone who finds them later that they are better live and in the flesh. More info + tickets HERE.
