Song Premiere: Upright Forms “Regular Multiplier”

We were lucky enough to debut Upright Forms’ first released song back in 2022, and today, we’re happy to have the honor again with a new song from next month’s debut album. If you’re catching up, Upright Forms brings decades of great bands from the trio of Nick Sakes (Sicbay, Dazzling Killmen, etc.), Noah Paster (Ripper, Blaha, etc.), and Shaun Westphal (Mise En Place). They’re set to release their first full-length album on the iconic Skin Graft Records, a label that has been championing Sakes’ projects since the 1990s.

“Regular Multiplier” features an off-kilter guitar rhythm, call-and-response vocals, and a really catchy descending bass riff that hits at all the right times. You’ll hear plenty of the sensibilities and delivery that Sakes brought with Sicbay but with Paster’s base and Westphal’s tight drumming bring a whole lot of new dimensions. There’s both a lot of experience and a lot of chemistry that really brings everyone’s parts together into something great.

Blurred Wires comes out on Skin Graft records June 28th. Preorder information here. They’ll also be playing a release show on July 20th at Zhora Darling.
