Support LA Artists Impacted By Fires Via Comp From LA Ambient Label Leaving Records

It’s pretty hard to not feel helpless watching LA burn as the latest indication that we have irrevocably fucked our planet. While the comp below isn’t going to stop oil companies from putting their stupid greedy profits over our collective future, which is what we really need to happen, at least I feel pretty good that this comp made for and by LA experimental artists is going to get money into the hands of people who need our support.

The comp is made by the always great Leaving Records, and includes a veritable list of avant garde artists like Julia Holter, Carlos Nino, Andre 3000, Laraaji, Luke Schneider, Cole Pulice, Arushi Jain, Spencer Zahn, Total Blue, Baths, Rachika Nayer and dozens more. I don’t know many of them, but trust the curators and having listened to much of the record, it is chock full of geat music.

You can buy the digital, cassette and vinyl versions of the release below, and read a bit from Leaving Records how they plan to distribute the money.
