Peep the Lineup for Drone Not Drones X (Friday/Sat) + DND Preview Show at Mirror Lab Thursday!
The best weekend of the musical year is here, good music fans of the Twin Cities! The illustrious Drone Not Drones returns Friday at 7pm at the Cedar Cultural Center for year 10(!!) of the 28 hour continuous drone. You know the drill. Buy the tickets (supporting Doctors Without Borders), get your mind ready to expand (your choice on process), gather your sleeping bags and head to Cedar anytime Friday night at 7pm until the music stops Saturday night at 11pm.
It gives us all a chance to pretend for a few hours that the world isn’t crumbling around us and soak in some peaceful drones, watch some trippy light shows and maybe even hear some people peacefully snoring along to the music. If you are thinking to yourself, “but 28 hours of drone just *isn’t enough* drone,” we’ve got some additional good news for you. As has been the case for the previous few years, the always amazing Mirror Lab in south Minneapolis is hosting a Drone Not Drones kickoff show Thursday evening featuring a few of the national bands alongside a few local bands for what should be an outstanding, intimate show.
