ÖLÜM Mine Anatolian Psych Rock on Outstanding First Single “Aman (Ordunun Dereleri )”
Like Reviler favorite Altin Gün, ÖLÜM are a band that liberally mine the 1960-80s goldmine of Turkish psych rock genre commonly known as Anatolian Rock and bring it into our cursed timeline. They are only one song in, but the LA-based ÖLÜM come out of the gates swinging with the chugging, vibrant “Aman ( Ordunun Dereleri ),” which had me pining for more as soon as I first heard it. I’m looking forward to hearing more from the band and hope they’ll bring their retro sound out on the road, as the genre really cooks live.
